In Pictures: Spring Summer 2015 Fashion from Brown Thomas
Granted, it’s harder to see spring on the horizon with Storm Rachel battering a path to your door, but this week saw the first big Irish show of the season and it was blue sky thinking all the way.
Lucky fashion fans gathered in the newly revamped accessories hall of Brown Thomas’ Dublin landmark store on Wednesday morning for a breakfast showcase where 70’s style, sunny yellows and flowing, feminine cuts were the order of the day.
Introducing the collection, womenswear director Shelly Corkery nodded to the upcoming season’s trends, namely 1970s Renaissance, Monastic Zen, Sports Glam and Bloom Bloom.
The diverse showcase included items all colours of the rainbow, print and block, dresses of every length and separates all along the realm from hippie chic to uber-tailored and sleek. Two of the biggest talking points on the day were a stunning yellow floor-length number from Preen and a show-stopping pale pink coat dress from Dior.
Have a flick through the gallery above to see just some of SS15’s key trends. But maybe turn the heating up first.
