There's nothing quite like falling in love with a pair of shoes, so much so that you'll live on beans for a month just so you can have them.*
The pain of fabulous footwear is something that usually comes hand in hand with a night out on the town and we try our best to grin and bear it.
This trick, though, might change everything. Even better is the fact that it doesn't cost a cent.
Who What Wear cites shoe expert and Shoe Are You? author Meghan Cleary for the nifty trick.
Meghan suggests running your feet under cold water (you can stick them into the bathroom sink... this doesn't need to be glamorous), then putting a little hand lotion on your feet while they're still a little damp.
Then on go the heels.
"I personally have gotten another four hours out of a pair doing this mid-event," she said.
The science bit? The hand lotion seals in the moisture of the cold water and lubricates against any sore spots.
Genius.
