Kate Middleton is the picture of elegance in her latest (very expensive) outfit

There's a hint of Jackie O about this look.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, accompanied by Prince William, attended an event marking the Somme Centenary Commemorations on Thursday evening in France.

As always, Kate’s outfit was the focus of much conversation with everyone chatting about her outfit this morning.

Although the mother of two often recycles outfits and wears high-street pieces on a regular basis, on this occasion she opted for a designer ensemble.

According to HELLO! magazine, her Missoni coat retails at £850 (€1016) and she decided to pair it with a Mulberry clutch, large pearl Balenciaga earrings, a pillbox hat and Gianvitto Rossi heels.

This is the first time she’s worn the coat and it is fabulous. It would look just as fab with a jeans/shirt combo and I’m looking forward to seeing what else the Duchess wears it with.

The Battle of the Somme, where the British and French Armies fought against the German Army took place on July 1st 1916.

It’s believed that the royal family are attending a number of events to mark the battle’s 100th anniversary.

There has been a number of outfit opportunities for the Duchess in recent weeks between Ascot and the Queen’s 90th-anniversary celebrations and people can’t get enough of her style.
