Fashion often transcends different countries and cultures. This is definitely true when comparing trends in the Republic of Ireland and UK, where our friends from across the Irish Sea have been showing how great they are at creating fashion that everyone with an eye for all the latest styles would love to be seen and photographed in!
A number of fashion brands in Britain have managed to crack international markets, which has resulted in them being given the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. One of the main reasons why this accolade was awarded is for the fact that all the fashion brands on the winners’ list showed an extreme amount of resolve in making all their products on their home soil.
Cosmetic charms
Two of the brands given awards are known for producing great cosmetics which, despite having global appeal, are unmistakably British. Both Nails Inc. and I Love Cosmetics have managed to spread the word about what they do not only because their product ranges are fabulous, but because they make a point of their products being made using British expertise.
The same goes for Panache, a lingerie brand based in the city of Sheffield. They have managed to do what many similar-sized firms have failed to achieve by making it abroad. The most striking thing about Panache’s range is that they cater for everything from sexy lingerie to sportswear, meaning that they’ve got everything covered (no pun intended!).
Rose to the occasion
Tiffany Rose, another award winner, made the headlines after their Amelia dress was worn by a contestant on The Voice. Kelly Mongan looked truly amazing, showing off her baby bump just days before she was due to give birth!

That kind of publicity can help any fashion brand to break new ground. Surely, Kelly got what she wanted from the maternity wear she decided to wear for what was one of the biggest nights in her life – comfort and style.
