When it comes to the mega-rich, they don’t have to choose and tend to amass residences all over the globe.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have just added to their property portfolio with a new house in the Hamptons and we have to say, we love their taste.
The East Hampton pad is basically a Barbie dream house come to life with elegant staircases, giant fireplaces and, of course, a pool.
Sitting on two acres, the mansion has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms and is decked out in stunning neutral tones throughout.
The couple picked up the house for $26 million (€21.7 million) over the summer, down from its original asking price of $39 million, according to The Sun.
They might even have seen it as a bargain, given that they’re reported to have spent $130 million on their Bel Air home.
The property has 203-feet of water frontage on Georgia Pond and will likely be a getaway location for the Carter-Knowles family.
They’ll be in good company in the Hamptons – other celebrities with homes there include Scarlett Johansen, Jennifer Lopez, P Diddy and Paul McCartney.
Oh to be a fly on the wall at the local residents association get-togethers.
We’re in no position to advise Queen B on style but of we were her, we’d stick to the house’s original theme when decorating.
We’d be thinking creams, golds and maybe burnt oranges with plenty of flowers throughout the house, but we could see Bey and Jay going extravagant with fur, chandeliers and rich colours.
Either way, we’ll be expecting our invite to the housewarming to land any day now.
