Littlewoods Ireland have been announced as new GAA sponsor

The GAA has just had a very fashionable makeover. And we couldn't be more excited. At a press conference in Croke Park today, Ireland's leading online department store, Littlewoods, announced a very exciting partnership with the GAA. The fashion, electrical, and homewares retailer has signed a three-year deal with the GAA which sees them become both the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship and Camogie National League sponsor until 2019. Littlewoods first act of business has been to sign up two GAA style ambassadors, Cork’s Anna Geary and the newly retired nine-time All-Ireland winner Jackie Tyrell from Kilkenny. The fashionable pair have already posed for a V by Very photoshoot at Lough Dan in County Wicklow and the results look very promising indeed.

The stunning shoot was produced by leading Irish stylist Courtney Smith and shot by fashion photographer Alex Hutchinson. Here's a sneak peak behind the scenes.  We can't wait to get our mitts on that lovely red dress. Speaking about the new sponsorship deal Littlewoods Ireland MD, Geoff Scully stated that:

“We feel it is an opportune time to begin a partnership with the GAA. This is a new space for us and will allow us to engage with communities throughout the country through the Hurling Championship, Camogie National League and also the GO Games children’s events in Croke Park which we will be sponsoring. We plan on bringing our love of style and innovation to this partnership and believe it is a great fit for all involved.”

Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Aogán Ó Fearghail also commented:

If the first day is anything to go by, then it is going to be an interesting few years for the GAA. We can't wait to see what the partnership brings between now and 2019.
