Maternitywear Meltdown – Has Kim Finally Embraced Her Bump And Nailed The Mama-To-Be Look In The Process

Since about last Friday, Kim Kardashian has done a complete style 360! 

The clothes mad chameleon is no stranger to a makeover - or under, as was the case when she first hooked up with baby daddy Kanye last May - and we have to say, we're loving her new understated, maternity look.

We totally sympathise that thus far, Kim's pregnancy hasn't been the easiest, and even though she's been hitting up the gym almost daily with Gwyneth's guru Tracey Anderson, she's still struggling to maintain her pre-pregnancy bod. 

Writing on her new 'Mommy Blog', the curvaceous reality star explained the reasons behind some of her more experimental outfit choices of late.

"For me, I’ve found that I’ve gained inches and I’ve gotten wider but my belly hasn’t popped yet, so I struggle finding things that don’t make me look heavy," she explained. "Some days my baby bump really shows, and some days it doesn’t… so I never really know what I’m going to look like."

And, although she claimed in the post that she was "definitely having a lot of fun with my maternity fashion", the five-months pregnant star has reportedly hired a new stylist, after her "maternity fashion" choices were falling far short of the mark. And catapulting her back onto those worst dressed lists, that poor aul Kanye has been so desperately trying to avoid.

So, who is behind Kim's new fashion flair? Grazia is reporting that Lady Gaga's former stylist, Nicola Formichetti, is the brains behind the bump, but as yet there's been no official announcement from Kamp Kardashian.

One things for sure though - Kim seems to have come to terms with the fact that no amount of structured tailoring is going to conceal her expanding frame and that embracing her bump is the fashion-savvy way forward.
