Michelle’s Picks – How To Spend €1000 in Brown Thomas

DIOR, Travel Brush Set, €94

You can have all the nice makeup in the world, but if you're lacking the tools to apply it properly you're still going to fall short of that "flawless" look. A good kit of brushes is essential in any makeup bag, so my imaginary shopping lust list includes this fabulous set from DIOR. Forget the LBD! The LND, or Little Navy Dress is the ultimate in chic party wear, and I ADORE this Helmut Lang version. Clever draping makes for a super flattering silhouette, perfect for anyone (like me) who doesn't boast a washboard stomach but still likes to bring some sex appeal to the party. The asymmetric one-sleeve style and metal hardware turn up the funk factor. This dress is a class act.

MARC BY MARC JACOBS, Classic Q Mini Natasha Bag, €290

Every lady loves a Marc by Marc bag, and with good reason. This classic Q Mini Natasha is an investment purchase that you'll never tire of. The lovely grained leather screams quality and the smaller size means you can use this bag for day or night. Mixed metals have been the hottest trend in jewellery for the past few seasons and it's not going anywhere soon. I absolutely love this pretty layered necklace in tones of gold, silver and rose gold. It will go with pretty much everything already in your jewellery wardrobe, but it's enough of a statement piece in its own right for you to skip the other accessories altogether.
