We have already looked at the best trends of the past year...those that can be worn again and again, are versatile and ensure value for money. The following trends are pieces that very quickly date; while they might strike you as a must-have at the time they are soon resigned to the back of your wardrobe. While buying according to trends is a fun way to style yourself, sometimes it's best to concentrate on what suits you and not just buying an item just because it's THE look at the moment. Here's a few of the trends we are happy to say goodbye to. Baseball Caps While they suit Rihanna and the likes there's not much call for us to go about sporting baseball caps on a daily basis. They have a certain appeal if you're opting for a casual sporty style but they look pretty ridiculous in other scenarios. Snapback hats are all the rage at the moment but unfortunately, items like these have a short-term shelf life. Rihanna Slouchy Pants Oversized is a huge trend for 2013 but rather than attempting to wear oversized trousers, go with a slouchy coat or cosy knit as these are far easier to style. Baggy trousers are a very difficult trend to wear as they often add to your frame, making you look heavier than you actually are. Anne Hathaway Cartoon Sweatshirts The Givenchy Bambi inspired sweatshirt inspired numerous of printed sweatshirts this year. While this Bambi one is particularly cute with Penneys bringing out a similar version, this isn't a trend we can see ourselves wearing year after year. While very popular for a short period of time, there's a limited range of styling options and it's easy to become bored of an item like this. Lily Collins Graphic Leggings While bright patterned leggings might look good if you're a 6ft model they are harder to wear for us mere mortals.
