It's all about that sustainability.

Sustainable fashion is becoming a hot topic.

From vegan and package-free beauty products to sustainable clothing – environmental issues are starting to play a conscious role in the lives of more people than ever before. So much so that a new report has highlighted growth in a new wedding dress trend.

The pre-loved gúna.

According to a new 2019 report from Lyst, there’s huge interest in pre-loved wedding dresses, with more brides looking at sustainable fashion when it comes to walking down the aisle.

The data analysed the online shopping habits of over five million people a month, 12,000 designers as well as social media habits and trends and found a sharp hike in the want for pre-owned wedding dresses with an increase of 93 percent year on year.

The keywords “second hand” and “vintage” are also up since the 2018 reports by a combined 42 percent.

This new report from Lyst too coincides with Pinterest’s notable searches with “sustainable wedding ideas” up 181 percent since last year, showing that people are acting more eco-aware in all aspects, with wedding days certainly being a new one to us.

Fair play!
