Olivia Newton-John is in Ireland to launch a very iconic style exhibition

Olivia Hayes

She has always been a style icon.

From the very first moment I saw Olivia Newton-John in Grease, I knew she was always going to be someone I would adore. From when she wore her preppy cardigans and long A-line skirts to her donning the badass leather look, my style has always fallen in between those two total ~*moods*~ because of her.

The actress touched down in Ireland today to open a new exhibition in Newbridge Silverware’s Museum of Style Icons and it’s definitely something all fans should attend.

Throughout the years she has gone through various style stages so it’s no wonder that Newbridge wanted to showcase some of her most famous looks.

Of course, the leather look will be on show as well as ‘Physical’ and ‘Xanadu’ wardrobe pieces, gowns she wore to events, some awards she won and more.

Martin Nolan, Executive Director of Julien’s Auctions said of Olivia: “Her extraordinary career – that includes her starring role in Grease, one of the most successful Hollywood films and soundtracks of all time – and her recordings of some of the biggest pop singles of the 20th Century, makes her more than just a star but a pop culture phenomenon.”

Newbridge will be the first stop of the exhibition tour, which will give fans (including a very excited Amy Huberman) a glimpse of Olivia’s most famous looks.

The exhibition will be on display in Newbridge from July 22 until August 18. The pieces will then go up for auction in November in the US with a portion of proceeds going to benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre.
