Online shopping is SO much easier thanks to Zara’s new idea

Cathy Donohue

As much as we love online shopping, it’s a pain in the backside trying to figure our your size when you can’t try something on.

However, Zara now has a new sizing tool which aims to make it easier for shoppers by allowing them to input their height, weight and desired fit of the garment they want to buy, ranging from ‘tight, perfect, loose’.

It then bases the answer on what other shoppers bought so you’ll get an answer like “70% of shoppers bought size M” enabling you to better decide what size is best for you.

Of course, this idea isn’t without its failings because everyone has a different figure and shape and what’s right for one person won’t necessarily be right for someone else.

While it’s now available on the UK site, it doesn’t appear to have reached the Irish version yet.

It will be interesting to see how it goes down with shoppers and we have to wonder whether other high-street retailers will follow suit.

Here’s an idea of what it looks like, would you give it a go?
