We love a good Insta trend.
The beauty of social media is that it keeps fashion moving at a breakneck pace, meaning there are constantly new trends coming at us.
In the past year Instagram has given us some fairly random ones, including basket bags, tiny sunglasses and gigantic sunhats and, of course, cycling shorts.
They’re a little out there but paired with the right pieces, they can look pretty stylish.

We made some out of an old pair of leggings but now the real things are beginning to pop up on the high street.
Penneys has just brought out its take on the trend – but they’re denim.
Like, no. Just no.
These are essentially glorified pedal pushers and that’s something we just can’t get behind.
They also look like they’d absolutely ride you and potentially cut you in half when you sit down.
They may be just €9 but we think we’ll stick to our old leggings TBH.
