Penneys’ latest €13 satin midi skirts are a living, breathing dream

A purchase I need to make.

Denise Curtin

Satin, mesh and neon.

Three words that you’ve probably heard a lot of this season and will continue to as we head into the summer months.

Satin skirts, mesh tops and neon everything will coat the rails this summer and thankfully they’re predominately prêt-à-porter.

Satin skirts for one, is one of the most flattering trends out there at the moment, pinching you in at the waist and dropping with a rich material that looks a lot more expensive than it is. Plus, they’re so versatile from a wedding to a coffee date and certainly one to source for your SS19 wardrobe.

Another key factor is the fact you don’t have to spend too much as Penneys has created some fabulous ones already this spring and now, just added two more to the pack – a tie-dye beauty and a mustard one.

PSA: tie-dye is also making a serious comeback.

Tie-dye skirt – €13

The second skirt is one that we could easily see ourselves wearing at a summer wedding themed with a dolly cream blouse and some turquoise jewels.

It’s €3 more expensive than the above skirt but again, very affordable.

Trés chic.

We’ll certainly be nipping to Penneys to nab these up. Potentially alongside this €25 glittery jacket that we need for festy season.
