We have a dupe for the must-have Primark jacket you can't get in Ireland

Every girl needs a pair of Old Skool Vans in her life.

The iconic shoes were once the preserve of skaters and scene kids but made the cross-over to mainstream fashion and are now one of the most popular styles of runner going.

We love them for how hard-working they are – they go with pretty much everything, from jeans or leggings to dresses and skirts.

They’re available in pretty much every colour imaginable and we want to buy them in pretty much every colour imaginable, which is why we’re delighted we’ve stumbled across a budget dupe for the real things.

Good old Penneys has its own version of the shoes and you’d have to admit that they’re super-similar to the real things.

With a soft faux-suede finish and the classic Vans shape, these would nearly fool you into thinking they’re the real deal.

It’s not the first time Penneys has brought these out – they originally launched in stores last year but were hard to get a hold of as they were so popular.

They’re now back in stores and in a range of colours, including black, grey, lilac and baby blue.

As you might expect from Penneys, they’re a good bit cheaper than the original.

Old Skool Vans tend to start at the €70 mark, whereas the Penneys ones cost just a tenner.
