Not only that has the ad received backlash on social media, The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) has also spoken out against it. Esquire reports that the organisation has launched a petition calling for the clothing company to remove the add. A statement was released from the NCOSE alongside the petition asking "Calvin Klein to not only remove this offensive ad, but also to suspend its Erotica advertisement campaign, and to issue an apology to victims of sexual harassment or assault everywhere". Other images featured on the Instagram account, which has been described as raunchy include "I react in my Calvins" and "I kick it in my Calvins".
