Great to see.

For years there have been calls for more diversity in the types of people we see in ad campaigns – especially when it comes to fashion and beauty.

Brands are finally responding to the demand and using models of all ages, sizes and ethnicities to showcase what they’re selling and one that’s leading the way when it comes to inclusivity is Penneys.

The Irish retail giant has been praised over an Instagram post this week that features a stunning older model wearing one of its dresses.

The image, from Primark’s ‘Everyone’s Invited’ campaign ahead of the festive season, shows the model in a gorgeous green satin polka dot midi dress.

The piece is €25 and available in Irish stores now – but it’s the model wearing it who’s gone down a storm with followers.

The brand has been praised in the past for its diverse range of models.

Customers and industry insiders alike commended Primark in July when it featured a model who is an amputee in a campaign.

“Primark is for everyone, and our customers are at the centre of everything we do,” a rep told Pretty52.
