The company, Showpo, said they wanted to "take things to the next level" with their "colour changing dress". They premiered it on their social channels with a preview of the dress in action.
People began to lose their sh*t over it with some people saying it was the "best news ever" and others saying it's not possible and that the video must be fake.
If something like this seems too good to be true they usually are. I mean, come on, a colour changing dress?
Anyway, after a lot of suspicion and people calling bullsh*t on this, the company behind the video have finally come clean.
It turns out it is all fake but they do *hope* to make one for real some day. They said on their Facebook:
"Hey guys! So our 'colour changing dress' has garnered a LOT of attention and questions, so here's some more information.... Although we haven’t invented the product *yet*, we think we could soon with your help! "
What did we learn from this - we really want a colour changing dress and also not to believe everything you see on the internet.
