PIC: Magazine Comes Under Fire For This Sexist Intern Advertisement

An Australian magazine has come under fire after posting a sexist advert for interns across their Twitter and Instagram channels. Sunday Style magazine, owned by Rupert Murdoch, sparked an online backlast after it posted the advert feature a woman on all fours in her underwear. The image was tagged with the words “interns wanted” on the magazine’s Instagram account last week.

The ad received backlash from both men and women alike, with Twitter users voicing their anger:

Sunday Style later pulled the original image, and instead replaced it with an apology on their Instagram account:

The magazine refused to make any further comment on their original editorial decision to run the lingerie image as part of their recruitment process.
