The ad received backlash from both men and women alike, with Twitter users voicing their anger:

Sunday Style later pulled the original image, and instead replaced it with an apology on their Instagram account:
The magazine refused to make any further comment on their original editorial decision to run the lingerie image as part of their recruitment process.
