Abstract art, am I right?

In case you weren't aware, yesterday Princess Eugenie got married to Jack Brooksbank. The pair had a lovely day, looked very well, and treated the whole affair with significantly less caution than Meghan and Harry did when they said their vows back in May. Keeping #onmessage with this slightly more chilled out vibe, Eugenie opted to have her bridal party (ie, all the little kids you saw running about the place and falling up the stairs) wear ivory outfits featuring colourful sashes and cummerbunds. This is them. Bit jazzier than you'd usually see at a royal wedding, aren't they? Still though, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and all the rest of them looked absolutely class with their pops of colour so we decided to do a little digging and see where Eugenie got her inspiration from. And it turns out that the answer is pretty cool. The print came from the work of LA based artist, Mark Bradford who is best known for his colourful and abstract work with paint and collages. The piece that very closely resembles the print used in Eugenie's wedding yesterday is a canvas of mixed media called 'Here.' Bradford's work tends to have a focus on layering and contortion, taking various means of creating art and combining them with more concrete events in the world to create something new. Over the course of his career, Bradford has involved himself in co-ops that give employment opportunities to men and women who have been incarcerated. He has also achieved the highest ever auction price for a living African American artist. So yeah, pretty cool guy.
