Ladies, are you looking for a quick way to look great and feel fabulous? (Eh…aren’t we all?) Well, we’re going to let you in on a little secret: according to researchers, it’s all in the tailoring.
The Irish Sun reports that we should never, ever underestimate the power of a little nip here and a little tuck there when it comes to clothes. In fact, taking your favourite pieces of clothing to a tailor for a bit of an alter could make you look up to eight years younger.
The flip-side of this is that badly-fitting clothes can actually age you and make you look (and feel) at least seven years older than you actually are.
“It’s astounding the dramatic affect a well-cut jacket or nicely tailored dress can have,” said Jon Owen, the brand director at Isme.com – the company which commissioned the research.
So if you’re trying to shave off a few years, it’s best to go for clothes that hug your shape perfectly – think structured blazers that have an excellent cut, skinny jeans and a pair of sexy heels.
After all, you’re really only as old as you feel – so there’s no point in aging yourself with badly-fitted clothes now is there?
