With autumn weather slowly but surely creeping in, layering season is well and truly upon us.
Heavy coats still feel like a step too far on days when the weather can vary wildly from hour to hour so a handy cardigan is currently our best friend when getting dressed in the mornings.
Now River Island has updated one of its bestselling ones from 2017 and we’re slightly obsessed.

This striking bubblegum pink knit, priced at €55, was all over the ‘gram last autumn and winter and was super popular with shoppers too, selling out before it was restocked in January.
The folks at River Island obviously copped on that we all love chunky cardies and so have brought the piece back in a slightly different guise for this season.
This year’s version of the cardigan features bobble-style sleeves but looks just as cosy as last year’s one.
It comes in three colours – tan, pale pink and a pretty lilac-blue – and judging by Instagram, we reckon the tan one will be the first to sell out.
The knit is €61 this time around; a little dearer than last year but for the wear we’d get out of it we’ll definitely be picking it up.
