We can’t begin to cope with the stunning dress that Saoirse Ronan wore to the BAFTAs

Unreal.

The red carpet outside London’s Royal Albert Hall was in full swing last night.

Thanks to the 73rd British Academy Film Awards, we got to see some serious fashion moments of a Sunday.

And while there were so many gorgeous dresses and lewks, some stood out more than others.

We’ve already highlighted one of our best dressed on the night – Kate Middleton.

The Duchess honoured the sustainable dress code by re-wearing a gold and white Alexander McQueen gown, which she first wore at a state dinner in Malaysia on the Cambridges’ diamond jubilee tour in 2012.

Divine, I promise.

However, also at the top of our best dressed list was (of course), Saoirse Ronan.

Saoirse, who was nominated for best actress on the night, went back to basics with a black voluminous Gucci gown.

The chic and simple satin gown had leather straps, and allowed a blank canvas for Ronan’s hair and make-up.

Saoirse rocked a twisted-front updo and classic red lip.

She finished off the look with a selection of Gucci High Jewelry pieces in yellow gold with diamonds and emeralds, including a stunning pair of glittering coloured gem earrings that added a perfect pop of colour.

Speaking about the look, Saoirse Ronan’s stylist, Elizabeth Saltzman, told British Vogue the gown was made from discarded satin.

“We wanted to create a gown that didn’t waste any resources or people’s time… It’s the first time we’ve gone dead simple,” she said.

Well honey, it works!
