Scandi style – you’re going to notice a new shoe trend everywhere this season

We adore.

New season, new trends.

If there’s one fashion week I look at for all my style inspiration year in, year out, it’s that which takes place in Copenhagen.

The fashion week or fashion weeks I should say, occur twice a year in the Danish capital and pack a certain vibe that is trademark to the Scandinavians and they’re trendsetting style.

Their style looks effortless with a touch of street and it’s all about comfort. They know that less is more because let’s face it, minimalism never ages.

And one trend that we spotted everywhere after their August fashion week forecasting SS20 trends was a new way to tie our shoes when wearing trousers.

If you wear shoes that feature a long lace with a wide-legged pair of pants, the new trend involves tying your laces around your pants in order to make them appear cuffed.

The look works particularly well with pants that aren’t cropped and one’s you’d usually wear with heels.

This look is also super practical as it means no rain soaking up our trousers which, let’s face it, will become more likely as we move closer to winter.

Another great thing about this trend is also the fact that you don’t have to buy anything new to create it, it doesn’t involve any “specific” product and so, you can continue being a sustainable queen re-wearing your wardrobe but changing up the look.

Now, that’s a trend we can all back.
