Ten homeware buys under €100 we’re definitely picking up this week

Time for a spring makeover?

Trine Jensen-Burke

So FAB.

If you’re as ready for spring to arrive at this stage as we are, well, then you’ll probably more than understand our desire to give our homes an update for the season ahead.

If you are feeling like a change too, just take a look at these seriously gorgeous homeware buys below – and apologies in advance for breaking your April budget!

1. Potted Cactus (Auphorbia Acrurensis)

If you are as obsessed with indoor plants as we are (apparently crazy plant lady is the new cat lady), as bet you are dreaming of adding a gorgeous (and oh-so-Instagram-friendly) cactus to your collection.

If that is the case, you need to head to Ikea, where you can pick up one of these babies right now. Swoon!

Potted Cactus (Auphorbia Acrurensis), €56, Ikea

2. Mad About The House – How To Decorate Your Home With Style

We love books that fulfill more than one purpose. As in; you’ll actually find yourself learning something and finding tons of inspiration and it looks so good you’ll want to display it on your coffee table or a bookshelf – as an actual piece of decoration itself.

Mad About The House is just that kind of book. Packed with amazing advice on how to turn your house into the most amazingly stylish home, like how to choose the right colours for your home and how to use Pinterest, it is also so pretty you won’t want to hide it away, but instead leave it out somewhere for everyone (inlcuding yourself) to see.

Mad About The House – How To Decorate Your Home With Style, £14.51, Amazon.co.uk

3. Clean Slate Lavender and Eucalyptus Candle

We love buying Irish-made homeware, and have long since been die-hard fans of the gorgeous candles from Clean Slate. Having burned wintery scents now for ages, this spring, we want to fill our homes with the fresh and soothing scent of lavender and eucalyptus.

Clean Slate Lavender and Eucalyptus Candle, €23.37, Nordic Elements

4. Helen James Considered Cadiz Pasta Bowl

Dunnes are calling it a pasta bowl, but we are thinking it will be even more perfect for all those al fresco summer salads we’ll be dishing up.

Helen James Considered Cadiz Pasta Bowl, €12, Dunnes Stores

5. Jade Ombre Texture Planter

Indoor plants are hotter than ever, and we want to fill our homes with cacti and succulents this spring. Which is where this gorgeous planter comes in – in fact, we are planning on getting more than just one.

Jade Ombre Texture Planter, €17, M&S

6. Rattan Side Table

Perfect for adding a little beach house chic to your home, and works equally well as a night stand as it will in your living room (or out on your decking for the summer months).

Rattan Side Table, €99.99, Zara Home

7. Limited-Edition Art Print

Many are terrified of the word “art” and feel like it is either something way to expensive or just something you don’t feel quite grown-up enough to invest in. Which is just all sorts of nonesense – especially when you realise just how much you can add personality and style to any room with art. And don’t for a moment think you have to go for something old-fashioned or snobby – have you checked out Minted yet? (Warning: prepare to loose a few hours of your life browsing all the gorgeous art prints!)

We have major troubles picking just a few to order, but will definitively be adding this one to cart – it will make our home feel like it is permanently in summer mode!

‘The Sunday Blues’ Limited Edition Art Print, from $21, Minted

8. Marble-Effect Melamine Outdoor Tableware

How Instagram-perfect! We are planning on eating most of our meals al freso this summer, and if the weather plays ball, we want to do it on these totally on-trend (and shatter-proof) plates from Next.

Marble-Effect Melamine Outdoor Tableware, from €15.50 for a 4-pk of salad plates, Next

9. Linen-Blend Cushion Cover

It’s amazing just how much of a facelift you can give your home just by adding a few new cushions.

Linen-Blend Cushion Cover, €19.99, H&M Home

10. Foxford Woollen Mills Bedding

There is nothing that makes us happier than crawling into a freshly made bed – especially when it is all dressed in new, fresh bedding. And we are currently loving the entire new collection from Foxford Wollen Mills, now available at Arnotts.

Foxford bedding, prices from €30, Arnotts
