The Spanish designer, who has created some of the most coveted shoes in the world, is now hoping to continue that success with a handbag line which is due to hit stores from the end of this month according to Vogue.co.uk.   Speaking to Vogue about the inspiration behind the new collection he said: “I am always inspired by beautiful women from the past and present, so when I thought about doing a collection of bags, I was sure they were going to be evening bags for the women of today. “These bags are an extension of some of the shoe styles I really like as I wanted to keep the connection between the shoes and the bags."
