When it comes to wedding guest outfit shopping, what do you look for?

Some people will prioritise the colour or silhouette while others might put comfort or quality at the top of their list. These are all things to keep in mind but for us, versatility is key. Buying for a special occasion is always different to buying day-to-day pieces like jeans, shirts and jumpers but we still want something that we can dress up in different ways and wear over and over. We reckon we've found just that in River Island with this slinky slip maxi dress. The colour is an absolute show-stopper and we love the low cowl back with the crossover strap detail. The V-shaped neckline and the slight slit up the side combine to make this a super-flattering piece. It's perfect for a wedding - we'd add gold or silver heels, a small clutch and some sparkly earrings for an easy but sophisticated look.
