The €24 Penneys coat you’re going to want in your life on cold mornings

Keeley Ryan

We’ll take one of each.

Even though it hasn’t always felt like it much over the last few weeks, we’re well and truly on our way into big, cosy coat season (otherwise known as fall and winter).

Now, normally we would be big advocates for spending a decent bit of money on a good winter coat (if you can). After all, it’s something you will wear for most of the colder days and months that makes up at least 70 per cent of your visible outfit.

But sometimes, a really affordable retailer brings out a bargain that is just too good to resist.

Which is why we were particularly excited when we stumbled across these two Penneys ‘coatigans’ – which cost just €24 each.

There is the black-and-white coatigan, which features wide lapels and a checkered pattern.

We reckon it look fantastic with a pair of jeans, a plain tee and trainers for a weekend day out. Or maybe a dress, matching neutral-coloured jumper and ankle boots for desk-to-drinks?

There’s also a rust-coloured version of the coatigan, but with a hood – so giving that little bit of extra coverage when the rain hits.

And if you’re looking for some equally as cosy-looking coats, the high street retailer also have a cropped borg jacket – which, yeah, we’ll definitely be snapping up as well.

The coat comes in two different colours – a beige and a chocolate brown – and costs just €20.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Whichever one you go with, how could you go wrong?
