'Wedgie jeans' aren't exactly new and if you have a pair in your wardrobe, you'll want to hold onto them this year. Although cropped jeans, fringed hems and flares are all key fits for 2017, the 'wedgie' is our personal fave. Think a high-waisted fit, a cropped leg and apparently, they lift your bum at the same time. Check out how they've been styled in the below Instagram posts.

Speaking to Mashable previously, Jonathan Cheung, senior vice-president of Levi's Global Design said:

 "Just as the 501 CT was inspired by girls wearing the 501 a little bit slouchy, the Wedgie is inspired by girls [who] were downsizing a vintage 505 and wearing it very close and almost vacuum-packed to the rear-ends — hence the affectionate and cheeky name".

Although they're called 'Wedgie', the jeans company says this won't actually happen in real life as the cotton fabric stretches for comfort. Levi has a Wedgie style of jeans and given that this particular fit has been spotted on everyone from Kylie Jenner to Winona Ryder, you can see why they're so popular.
