If your big day is fast approaching and you're trying to cross off every item off that long to-do list, there's one thing you might not have thought of. The type of shoes you wear to your wedding can have an impact on how you feel on the day because if you're in pain, you won't fully enjoy what's meant to be one of the best days of your life. Shelley Browne is fashion and beauty editor at The Knot, a wedding website, and she has some specific advice for choosing your wedding shoes. Classic pointed court shoes are permissible but only if you choose a style with a midi heel because anything higher will only result in you hobbling around all day. Although what happens if you fall in love with your dream shoes and they're too high? We could see that happening... In conversation with Who What Wear, Shelley explained that you should choose a heel height of 70 mm and under because this won't put as much pressure on your feet as higher stilettos. Although pointed heels are popular because of the leg-elongating effect, there are a number of other styles you can choose from including block heels which have a thicker heel and a supportive sole, thus making them more comfortable. Platform styles are also ideal because they offer more padding and support as are flats and wedges but again, not all brides will be happy with these options. If you are planning on pointed courts, choose the heel height sensibly and you'll get the best of both worlds.
