The stunning Alex Butler has scooped this year’s Best Dressed at the Galway Races.

The Cork native wowed the judges as a lady in red, wearing a one-shoulder red midi length dress from Vanilla, Fermoy. The matching disc hat is a Jennifer Wrynne design, with an elegant pearl detail trim, accompanied by a pearl clutch Alex purchased in Middleton a few years ago.

Completing the look was a pair of nude Louboutins – a present from Alex’s boyfriend, who was hoping to make the judging but was running late as he’s on the farm! Scooping the Best Hat award, was Danielle Gingell, who wore a floral crown creation.

The Antoinette flower veil crown was purchased from Arturo Rios in the US, and was worn with the Princess Grace peach cape dress from Lennon Courtney designs in Dublin.

Mary White stunned the judges in a bespoke Laura Jayne Halton two piece dress in pastel pink and light grey, winning her the Best Irish Design award.

Teamed with a hat she created herself, Mary’s outfit and simple design was based on a ‘Jackie O’ 50s style. Paying tribute to the clean cut design and shape, she accessorised with LK Bennet nude shoes and pearl earrings from The Kilkenny Shop.

As winner of the overall Kilkenny’s Best Dressed, Alex will receive a spectacular prize worth over €10,000, including a shopping spree at Kilkenny, a 5* luxury break with Bluebook Ireland, a new wardrobe courtesy of Aideen Bodkin, stunning Irish jewellery by Maureen Lynch, a bespoke crystal trophy by Waterford Crystal,€1,000 haircare from Peter Mark and a beautiful cosmetics package worth €1,000 from Lancôme.
