Looking for some weekend plans?

Now that the winter has well and truly settled in, we’re all looking forward to some seasonal styling opportunities in the lead up to Christmas.

Last winter, we were robbed of a lot of the special occasions we usually get dressed up for at this time of year, and a lot of us are eager to make up for lost time over the coming months.

And if you’re looking for an excuse to get dressed up this weekend, we’ve got just the occasion…

This Sunday, 21 Novemember, the Ladbrokes Troytown Chase is taking place at Navan Racecourse and there’s some amazing prizes up for grabs for the best dressed winner.

The Newbridge Silverware Best Dressed Competition will be taking place alongside the live action racing, and the racegoers with the best winter styling could walk home with a pretty impressive cash prize.

The overall Best Dressed winner will receive an incredible €1000 prize and a stunning Newbridge Silverware 44 piece cutlery set. Plus, nine finalists will also go home with a bottle of champagne.

The Best Dressed competition will be judged by TV fashion stylist Marietta Doran, so be sure to keep an eye out for her if you’re attending on the day.

There’s no pre-registration required for the Best Dressed competition, so all you need to do is grab a ticket online and head to Navan Racecourse in your favourite stylish ensemble.

You can pick up online advance tickets for just €20 each here.

On the day, keep an eye out for Marietta and her team who’ll be mingling with racegoers, picking their top ten race day looks and, ultimately, choosing their overall winner.

The event will also be celebrating 100 years of racing at Navan Racecourse, so it’s sure to be an action-packed weekend for everyone who attends.
