If you're shopping for a wedding dress, or have been with a friend, you'll know that there are some styles of wedding dresses that play it fairly safe. They're all gorgeous but just don't stand out as very unique.

I've been keeping an eye on different styles for my own wedding and spotted some beautiful new style trends that are emerging.

Floral bridal gowns are becoming increasingly more popular.

The White Rooms in Mullingar has a wonderful selection if you fancy adding about a bit of colour to your wedding dress. From designers like Daalarma and Charlotte Balbier, they stock some beautiful and unique dress floral gowns.

This one is a show-stopper.

While other styles have even more flowers throughout the dress.

If a coloured dress isn't for you, then another style which we'll begin to see more of is mixed textured dresses.

The White Gallery in Burren, Co. Down, stocks really unique designs. They are absolutely stunning and definitely way different to anything else you will see. They stock contemporary, unique and fashion-forward designer wedding dresses by international designers.

My personal favourite is from French-Israeli designer Liz Martinez. The White Gallery is the only boutique in the whole of Ireland to stock these dresses and they are fab.

They also stock dresses from the designer Laure de Sagazan who brings a breath of fresh air to the bridal industry.

Her beautiful collection of non-traditional wedding dresses mixes a bohemian style with a subtle sophistication. This season's collection features a mix of textured fabrics such as laces and soft brushed silks.
