Your weddings snaps photo will be hanging on your wall for the next fifty years, so no doubt if you’re a bride you’re putting plenty of thought into how everyone will look on your big day.
Bridesmaids trends come and go but one thing we can expect to see more of in 2018 is dresses with a slit in the side.

The Knot predicts brides will opt to have their bridesmaids showing a little leg this year.
“Floor-length gowns take on a sexier edge with a thigh-high slit this season,” the publication says.
“A side slit (or double slit for the truly daring) shows just the right amount of skin.”
It’s not a trend we’ve seen much of on these shores and reminds us of the time Kanye West had his say on Kim Kardashian’s bridesmaid dresses.
He famously vetoed slitted dresses for Kim sisters when they tied the knot back in 2014, calling slits ‘distracting’.
A dress with a slit is perfect for many an occasion but how can you make it work for a wedding?
The key might be to go for a flowy skirt. The more material there is there, the less leg will be on show and the less likely a bridesmaid will show some knicker.
As with all aspects of wedding planning, choosing whether this would work for you comes down to the individual couple and their style of wedding.
What matters most is whatever works for you and what you want, so if you want your girls to show off a bit of leg, why not?
