In one of the most awful trends we’ve seen in a very long time, (including Crocs, mankinis and the re-emergence of jelly shoes and chokers), it appears Texans are taking to the heat in ways only a cowboy could.
This picture, shared on Reddit, has introduced the wider world to the cowboy boot sandal – a “summery” take on the classic Western footwear.
We can all thank the Redneck Boot Sandal Company and in particular one Scotty Franklin for this new addition to a cowboy’s summer wardrobe.
For the sum of $50, you can send Scotty your new or broken in cowboy boots and he will transform them into this statement style.
On his Facebook page he boasts: “We buff them out when finished and know you will be the talk of the town!!!”
