The simple but addictive '100 years of X' videos have become popular in recent years with versions covering the evolution nail trends, makeup looks, engagement rings and even Halloween costumes over a century. Over a century the basic shape and style of high heels haven't changed hugely but the actual heel of the shoes do get noticeably thinner (or the platform gets thicker) as time goes on.
