This Woman Has Worn The Same Outfit To Work For The Last Two Years…

If you’re not a morning person, the struggle to get ready for work is very real.

From manipulating our hair into a presentable style to figuring out what to wear, there are days that we yearn for the simplicity of our school uniform and it seems we’re not the only ones.

Matilda Kahl is an art director at New York advertising firm Saatchi and Saatchi and decided one day that she was sick of stressing about finding suitable outfits to wear to the office.

Her solution? Create her own uniform.

“I have no clue how the idea of a work uniform came to me, but soon, the solution to my woes came in the form of 15 silk white shirts and a few black trousers,” she explained.

“For a little personal detail, I remembered my mother loved to put bows in my hair as kid, so I chose to add a custom-made black leather rosette around my neck. Done.”

Kahl has now worn the same uniform every day for the last two years and says her approach is no different than the one taken by men who wear a suit to work each day.

She slammed the pressure put on women to look flawless every day and urged her contemporaries to “reclaim the driver’s seat”.

“Today, I not only feel great about what I wear, I don’t think about what I wear.”
