Our top 20 celebrity wedding dresses of 2017

There could only be one winner.

Anna O'Rourke

Buckle up.

We LOVE an A-list wedding – the lavish decor, the high-profile guest list and best of all, the style.

This year saw some seriously big marriages in celeb land and we’ve been on the sidelines for all of them, bringing you the very best bridal looks.

As the new year approaches, we’ve decided to round up our favourite gúnas of 2017.

Whether you’re tying the knot in 2018 and fancy some inspiration or just feel like a trip down memory lane, we hope you enjoy (and agree with) the calls we’ve made here.

20. Julia Stiles

A heavily pregnant Julia married her partner Preston J. Cook back in October, but only shared a small glimpse of her dress! Luckily we managed to track down a full photo of it.

Who doesn’t love a shotgun wedding? ?✨

19. Emmy Rossum

The Shameless actress wore Carolina Herrera when she wed Sam Esmail in New York back in May.

18. Idina Menzel

Idina also donned Carolina Herrera for her big day in September, opting for an off-the-shoulder dress fit for a Disney princess.

17. Lacey Turner

Lacey positively glowed during her Ibiza wedding to childhood sweetheart Matt Kay back in September. She wore two dresses for the occasion – a cream floral gown and a boho-style one.

@bourhanbasmacouture thank you for another beautiful dress ❤️

16. Janette Manrana

Janette married fellow Strictly pro Aljaž Škorjanec in July and went for a stunning Julien MacDonald number that was all business in the front and party in the back.

15. Clare Bowen

You can’t deny that Nashville star Clare looked lovely, if a little extra, in a vintage-look gown and veil on her wedding day back in October.

14. Emma Lane

A late entry (she only got hitched in mid-December) but we couldn’t leave Neighbours actress Emma out – we especially liked her dress’ ruffled skirt.

13. Ally Hilfiger

Tommy’s daughter caught our eye when she donned a lace cape (designed by her dad, obvs) to her beach wedding during the summer.

12. & 11. Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli

How could we put one of these ladies ahead of the other? The Orange In The New Black actress and writer made it official in March and looked beautiful.

10. Jacqueline Jossa

Another EastEnders star who tied the knot in 2017. The actress wore a classic lace-sleeved princess gown when she married partner Dan Osborne in June.

9. Serena Williams

Not gonna lie, we shed a teeny tear when we saw the first photos of Serena, her hubby Alex Ohanian and baby Alexis Olympia on the couple’s wedding day in November.

The sportswoman was another 2017 bride who went for two wedding dresses – the first a simple, full-skirted gown with a cape and the second a feathery, blingy one perfect for partying.

8. Victoria Swarovski

Famous in her own right as a singer in her native Austria as well as heir to a certain crystal company, Victoria’s wedding dress was as sparkly as you might expect.

Designed by Michael Cinco, it was rumoured to be worth €900,000 thanks to the 500,000 crystals sewn into it for her.

7. Jessica Chastain

The notoriously private actress married boyfriend Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo in his native Italy in June. There are very few images of the big day around but what we’ve seen, we’ve loved.

Jessica looked incredible in an embellished, strapless dress with her hair pulled up under a veil.

6. Suzanne Jackson

It was the Irish celebrity wedding of the year. Suzanne wore three dresses the day she married Dylan O’Connor in August, but the one that stands out in everyone’s mind is, of course, this lace one designed by Hayley Paige.

5. Ronda Rousey

One word – divine. Ronda wore a beautiful fitted, beaded dress for her seaside wedding to fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne in Hawaii last August.

4. Pippa Middleton

Another one of the most high-profile weddings of the year. She somewhat stole the show as a bridesmaid during her sister Kate’s big day in 2011 but all eyes were firmly on Pippa when she tied the knot herself this May.

Her high-necked lace gown was one of the most memorable dresses of 2017.

3. Julianne Hough

It might have been pretty simple, but that’s why we loved it so much. Julianne’s ivory Marchesa wedding dress was one of our favourites of the year.

She switched it up later in the day when she changed into this sheer number.

2. Kate Upton

No surprise, really – Kate was always going to make a beautiful bride. She went with custom-made Valentino for her big day in November, which was clearly a pretty good call.

1.Miranda Kerr

It was tight, but we couldn’t have given the number one spot to anyone else. Miranda’s vintage-style satin gown by Dior and THAT veil just blew us away.
