Put up a curtain It might sound silly but adding an interior curtain can completely change a room. It's a great way to separate different spaces or have a bit of privacy in a shared flat.
Grab a rug A statement rug can work wonders on an otherwise plain room. Add a pop of colour or even go for something a bit more paired back like this gorgeous monochrome number.
Try a feature coffee table Make your coffee table more than something to set your cup on. Add flowers, magazines, even photos, whatever you think will make it the focal point of your room. We're big fans of the classic marble top.
Put a throw on it Fed up of your boring old sofa but not ready to splash out on a new one just yet? Grab a cheap throw from Penneys or Ikea and use it as a couch cover. The great thing is you can chuck it in the wash if it gets dirty or even change it for a new one next month.
