Many people dream of launching their own fashion line. Very few actually do it, and fewer still make a success of it.
If you’ve ever wondered what’s involved, then take a look at this mini-documentary from Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney. The Irish stylists and presenters paired up over a year ago to launch their own line, Lennon Courtney. Since then, the collection has entered stores around the country to a warm welcome from consumers and critics alike.
Now, the pair have released a mini-documentary, titled ‘A Brand is Born’ to give fashion lovers a behind the scenes look into what it takes to explore, design and ultimately create a successful fashion brand.
This honest account of their journey showcases the challenges they faced along the way, and boasts a refreshingly ‘real’ attitude, (we especially love Brendan’s ‘It's a f*cking frock’ line).
Lennon Courtney is available to buy at Arnotts, 15 selected stockists nationwide and online at www.lennoncourtney.com. Prices start at €50.
