We are in AWE of this illustrator’s stunning take on Ladies’ Day winner Pamela Uba

Anna O'Rourke

Pamela Uba and Síle Seoige have been immortalised in an incredible sketch by artist Ciara Reynolds.

Pamela was named Her Best Dressed at the Galway Races on Thursday while Síle was a member of the judging panel.

The illustration captures them both in their Ladies’ Day finery; Pamela in her flowing grey jumpsuit and striking headpiece and Síle in her matching pink ensemble.

Though Ciara wasn’t at the races herself, she quickly doodled the image after admiring the womens’ outfits.

A full-time architect, sketching is a hobby that’s turned into something of a side-hustle for her.

“I have always drawn as a child, at school, college and now in my everyday working life,” Ciara tells Her.

“I lived in the UK during my college years and for work and it was only when I returned home about four years ago that I set up my side business as an artist.”

Ciara now takes commissions from Ireland and around the world, drawing everything from portraits and buildings to her popular bespoke ‘Love Story’ illustrations, all in her signature whimsical style.

“In the last few years I started to draw digitally and it’s fun to develop new skills using new graphic tools but equally I enjoy going back to the traditional pen and paper!

“I find drawing a good way to relax and free the mind after a busy day in the office.”

After illustrating Síle and Pamela’s Ladies’ Day looks, Ciara has vowed that she’ll make it to the Galway Races event in 2020.

“I’d love to go next year and see all the style in person.

“It looks like such a fun day!”
