It's a story about a vain king who pays two con-artists posing as tailors to make him an outfit from a material so fine that it is invisible to anyone who is "unfit for his office" or "unusually stupid." When the king steps out in public in his new outfit, the people gathered are afraid to speak up for fear of sounding stupid until, at last, a child calls out "But he hasn't got anything on!" It's a lesson about how people are sheep and reminds us to think for ourselves. Anyway - what do we make of this dress? It's €69.95 from Zara and is currently super popular in blogger circles. The dress is very Kim K and does bring together some of this autumn's key trends, like ruching, the colour brown and lace-up detailing. It does looks cool all styled up on the 'gram but would it work in real life on an ordinary person? We're not so sure. We kind of want to but it and try it out and also kind of can't stand the sight it - we're all for stereotypically 'ugly' pieces but this feels like a blogger trend that might not translate.
