Shopping for a wedding dress is, from what I hear, a wonderful and emotional time.
But as with anything emotional, the likelihood is that it’s very stressful.
Love the train from one but the sequins from another?
Thankfully, your indecision is no longer an issue as a new service has launched online which allows brides-to-be to completely customise their dream gown.
The service,
Floravere, partnesr with acclaimed designers, patternmakers, and sewers - with resumes from Dior, Carolina Herrera, Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, Zac Posen to bring runway bridal direct to customers at a fraction of the price.
The store began when founder Molly, got engage and was surprised to find that shopping for a wedding dress was overwhelmingly un-fun.
Molly found that the dresses she liked were either crazy expensive or of poor quality.
She hated everything about dress shopping; Tuesday afternoon appointments, hovering saleswomen, mysterious back rooms which meant Molly wasn’t even choosing her own dress.
Floravere allows you to create your dream wedding dress from a capsule of seven silhouettes named after some of your favorite women.
Each design comes with the option to remove straps, add sleeves, drop a waist, make the train longer, add a slit or crystal embellishments. You can even monogram the inside of your dress in blue.
Molly launched the store yesterday and describes Floravere as “the first direct-to-consumer luxury bridal brand that allows you to browse online, try on at home, and customize your final gown.”
The best part? Every gown will come in at under $4,000.
Molly has even considered the frills of dress fittings. As your gown arrives, so too will a Bride Box which is filled with all the fixings for a try-on party fit for the modern bride.
