Our dreams have come true.
There have been too many times when you’re scrolling through Instagram and you see something you like and want to buy it. So you screenshot it or pin it to your Pinterest board but never get around to actually purchasing it.
Sometimes shops’ Instagram pages have a link in their bio which you can click to access their shop but before now you could never easily access an item you wanted that you saw on Instagram.
Next week a limited test will allow Instagram users to shop the products featured on their feed.
This will allow brands to add a ‘tap to view’ icon at the bottom of the photo. This will allow you to learn more about the product and you can then click ‘shop now’ which will bring you to the retailer’s site.
To start with, 20 fashion brands, including Michael Kors, Levi’s will add the feature to their site.

Don’t worry about spending all your money while browsing on the app just yet, though, as it’s only being added to American users’ accounts for now. It will be tested out by a select few iOS owners who will try out the function first.
