Stefanos Loukakos, who runs Messenger’s ad business, has said that user experience is their top priority.
He said:We'll see, man. We'll see. Facebook Messenger started rolling out their video ads this week, so if you see any showing up between the message from your mam asking what you want for dinner and that guy asking if you're single again, you know why.“So we don’t know yet (if they'll work). However, signs until now, when we tested basic ads, didn’t show any changes with how people used the platform or how many messages they send.”
“Video might be a bit different, but we don’t believe so.”
