Be very careful.

Instagram has made a significant change after adding a notification setting, which allows people to see who is taking screenshots of their stories.

Just think about the amount of times you have been sent or have taken a screenshot of someone’s Instagram story. Sometimes they can be of celebrities, people you know and people you don’t know. People screenshotted at will because it wasn’t traceable.

But, that’s all about to change with the latest update.

If someone screenshots someone else’s story, the owner of the account will get a notification. While it’s beneficial to the person who owns the account, it still leaves things a bit awkward for everyone involved.

According to TechCrunch, the feature isn’t widely available but is currently being rolled out on a test basis.

Instagram released the following statement on the update, “We are always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram and make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you.”
