This new Samsung phone completely blocks out the Internet

Olivia Hayes

Would you fancy going back to a time with no Internet?

Well, it could be partly possible thanks to Samsung’s new phone. This means no WhatsApp, no Instagram, no Facebook and whatever other app you like to go on will be banished from your phone.

The new Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro blocks all 3G, 4G, LTE and Wi-Fi making it virtually impossible to get onto the Internet.

As Ayrne reports, the handset sports a 5-inch QHD screen, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8MP front-facing and 5MP back-facing camera… so basically, it’s going old school with only texts, calls and a camera to contend with.

Samsung seem to be aiming it at teenagers and seniors, or anyone who doesn’t want to rack up an expensive phone bill.

There is a catch though, because Samsung has said it does not want to launch the J2 Pro outside of South Korea. As PC Mag notes however, “the number of seniors is increasing, and concerns are only growing about what kids have access to on the Internet.”

And we have to agree with that.
