Sneaky! Instagram now tells your friends when you were last active

Just like WhatsApp and Facebook...

Instagram used to be a place where you could creep til your heart's content and nobody would know. Well, the social media site has sneakily added a new feature that will let your friends know when you're active. It will also tell them just how long ago you were online. This feature shows up in the DM section of the app, so you can only see when someone you’ve previously messaged was online. However, good news is you can turn it off. Simply go into settings where the default is automatically ‘on’. Then just turn it off in the ‘Show Activity Status’ option. However, if you disable activity status for yourself, you won’t be able to see that info for anyone else.... which is grand with us, tbh.
