One of those reasons is because they are fast. Another one of those reasons is because they sometimes involve water.
And the third and final reason slides are good is because a lot of the time, they can take you directly to your boarding gate before you get on a flight.
Well, some of the time.
Passengers travelling through Singapore’s Changi Airport can avail of the super speedy slide to get them to their gate on time, fully securing the airport as one of the best in the world.

No really, it has actually been voted that before. Multiple times.
The Daily Mail reports that a man named Yusuf El Askary used his boarding pass to gain access to the slide in the airport’s Terminal 4.
He then, naturally, slid down it.
However, apparently there’s an even bigger slide in the airport’s Terminal 3. Why nobody has slid down this one and reported on it yet, we may never know.

The slide isn’t the only delightful addition Changi Airport has to offer.
There’s also a suspended trampoline, a butterfly garden, and a selection of beautiful sculptures dotted about the place.
Oh, and an actual crystal garden, which pretty much does what it says on the tin.
