It turns out this is emoji used in texts more often than any other

Turns out there's a firm favourite.

So many emojis, so little time.

Sometimes emoji speak is a lot easier than actual real-life chat – and we don’t think we’ll ever get tired of using them to liven up texts.

But it turns out there’s one particular emoji that people tend to favour above all others.

The company revealed the most often used emoji in a recent report about how many people use their products.

The data looked at the emojis that are used the most often by English-speaking users in the United States.

And the winner beat out the rest of the ones on the list by a long shot.

It turns out, everyone loves the “Face With Tears of Joy” as Apple calls it – or the crying-with-laughter emoji.

The red heart came in second, followed by the actually-crying face, the heart-eyed emoji and the blowing a kiss emoji.

Dozens of new emojis will be available to iPhone users in the coming weeks.

Apple revealed last month that hundreds of new emojis are coming to the iPhone and iPad courtesy of the iOS 11.1 update.

And according to Emojipedia, the 69 emojis included below were going to be available on users’ devices by the end of October or the start of November.

The emojis, according to Apple, include more emotive smiley faces, gender-neutral characters, food types, mythical creatures and more.

Now, we haven’t spotted these popping up on our devices just yet, but we’ll keep you posted when they arrive.
